Stan retired from an aerospace career with NASA at the Johnson Space Center in Houston in 1991 and obtained a real estate license with the intent of “selling dirt” for a while. But he was offered a job as a contractor with the European Space Center in Holland, so he and his wife, Gay lived there for 5 years.
After returning to the States in 1996, they settled in Wimberley in 1997 and Stan reactivated his license with Century 21 Hill Country Properties. Since then he has been helping the fortunate find homes in this wonderful Hill Country valley, and also helped a few unfortunates sell their homes to move away.
“Wimberley is a very special place to call home. There is such a nice variety of properties - from small lot subdivision homes to large acreage ranches or farms. We have many nice “view” properties and many waterfront properties on the Blanco or the many creeks. Most customers come to Wimberley asking for one of the special property types we have to offer.
And although we are now a city, there is still the small town atmosphere with our Wimberley Square and the many artistic and civic activities. Everyone living here seems to be involved in some club or function.”
“Being an active member of the Lions Club, I share in the pride of our Wimberley Market Days and the great contributions we are able to provide to the community. Some of my real estate customers are now my fellow Lions.”
Gay and Stan are members of the Chapel in the Hills church and enjoy the fellowship of worshipping with this very nice congregation.
Stan graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.S. degree in 1964. He still returns to his home area in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the winter for some great snowmobiling with friends.
